This elegantly original cabinet has been lovingly handmade by talented young designer, Ali Chapkin. The inspiration for the piece comes mainly from her travels in Central America and from the Mexican colour palette, as well as her research into developing highly exaggerated curves through the use of veneers. The highly decorative drawer handles are crafted from tightly curved, laminated veneers in contrasting walnut and beech wood. The electric blue coloured interiors of the drawers is only visible once they are pulled out from their solid walnut enclosure – and provides an element of curiosity and surprise. The cabinet stands on long, pink, cast resin legs. This is a one off piece, measuring approximately 101.5 cm high x 81 cm wide and 28 cm deep.
