Die-a-ramas by Blue

Girl on swing vintage tin curiosity box

Price £115.00

Unique handmade curiosity box by StyleCurious featured Blue. Made using found objects that are recycled to create what Blue calls her Die-a-ramas, this one is housed in a vintage coronation tin (marked Payne's Poppets Coronation Casket), with a portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the lid. Blue says that the little girl on the swing represents the younger Queen, plus there’s also a crown inside, along with a sparkly cat... “it’s all very girly.” This box measures 12 cm high x 11 cm wide x 7 cm deep.

I love anything glittery and was instantly attracted to these sparkly curiosities. I like the eclectic mix of quirky bits and pieces used to create Blue’s arty collages – and the fact that each one tells a story. These are great as colourful home accessories, but the smaller ones would make really unique and unusual gifts – perhaps for a friend with a taste for original things, or someone who’s a collector of quirky curiosities.
