Late1960s/early 1970s Gina Fratini printed silk organza long dress/ballgown with ruched front and velvet ribbons. Underskirt and zip up back. Would fit a UK size 10-12. Made for Lucienne Phillips’ Knightsbridge Store. Very good vintage condition.

Wow! This curiously collectable dress is quite extraordinary. The beautiful print is typical of its era – as is the style of this dress, with puff sleeves, which can be worn on or off the shoulders. Gina Fratini was known for her romantic, fairytale evening gowns. She designed the dress worn by Princess Anne for her 21st birthday portrait. A Fratini dress worn by Princess Diana was sold for $85,000 at a Christie’s auction in 1997.
