Le Chinois - plaster bust

This is a limited edition numbered bust, created in plaster by StyleCurious featured sculptor, Hacene Sadoune. The bust is approximately 60 cm tall and weighs 7-10 kg. This bust, called Le Chinois, is a reproduction of a work by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux (1827-75), the original of which was sold at Sotheby’s in New York on May 23rd 1997 for an undisclosed sum. It’s available in glossy gold, matte black, glossy black and matte earthy orange. Please allow 14 days for delivery. These busts combine classic craftsmanship with a curiously colourful and quirky modern twist. They’re collectors’ items in their own right as well as being faithful reproductions of historically significant artworks by world renowned French sculptors. Hacene Sadoune is also following in the tradition of Carpeaux, who spent much of his time studying and copying antique classical sculptures. Think of this as an investment in the history of art for future generations.
