Impasse de la Defense

Asymmetric graffiti-style handpainted tartan wrap skirt

Price £180.00

Incredible patchwork tartan and handpainted silk and cotton wrap skirt by StyleCurious featured designer Karim Bonnet for Impasse de la Defense. Fixed by popper buttons, this skirt can be worn fully closed, or partly undone so the hem hangs down at more of a handkerchief type angle. The fabulously quirky designs are based on Guy Debord’s ‘psychogeographie’ and feature maps, locations, signs, arrows – as well as cartoons of those travelling to different places during their lives. Approx 52 cm at longest point.

I simply love this skirt – it’s not only of the moment, but it looks nice and warm and wearable, which is always good when you live in Britain … and we don’t mind paying homage to the Scottish kilt, as artily re-designed by a stylish Frenchman: What more could you ask for, this is the best of all worlds!
