Freshly made and exquisitely perfumed curiosity candles, presented in a rather sumptuous gift box. These are in contrasting fruity fresh ylang ylang and spicy black pepper tones and can be burned separately, or preferably together to create the most heavenly scent. The candles are hand made for ShopCurious and include only natural ingredients (olus oil, parfum and soy wax). Even the gift box and candle lids are individually made using recyclable materials and luxurious black and cream printed cotton toille fabric. Each candle contains 70g of perfumed wax.

These candles are made personally for you in a little village in rural France by a delightfully eccentric husband and wife team who left the corporate and legal professions to get back to something more creative. Their products are made entirely by hand - this involves producing the essential oil wax and creating each candle one by one, at a precise temperature. Their goal is to return to the original roots of perfumery using basic raw materials - it's about as far away from a mass consumerism as you can get. And the name, Mad et Len - is an offbeat reference to Proust's Remembrance of Things Past (madeleine). Curiously delicious and clever too. Bravo!
