Blue bug bangle - dark blue with green and stripey bugs

This quirky bug bangle, as featured in our ShopCurious blog, contains real green and stripey beetles set in clear and dark blue coloured resin - so it looks transparent and shows off the beetles in one light and appears as a mysterious deep blue (with beetles lurking in dark depths) in another light. Probably from the1960s, it's definitely a party piece - wear it to be noticed and squirmed at! The internal diameter of the bracelet measures around 6.5 cm and it's approximately 3cm wide.The internal circumference is around 19.5 cm.

A rare piece of bug art for your arm, this is one of a small collection that belonged to an eccentric American lady. She had the bangles made in a selection of colours, featuring a variety of types of bug (!) to go with different outfits. The bangle is an original and the bugs are set in a deep/rich coloured resin that is in no way matched by cheaper modern lucite imitations. Each bracelet is totally unique and never ceases to create a stir - or at least a conversation, wherever you wear it.
