Late Edwardian black lacy dress with jet detail

Original late Edwardian fine crepe dress with lace trimmed sleeves and hem, unusual jet bead detail and classic modesty panel style inserts. Fastened with a multitude of poppers, as was characteristic of the age. Approximately 127 cm long from the top of the shoulder to the base of the hem. Poppers could easily be moved to adjust the sizing around the waist, if required. In very good vintage condition, apart from a tiny bit of damage to the lace in one sleeve – perhaps a trace of evidence of excitement in a former life.
