Original Victorian wedding dome measuring 42 cm high x 34 cm across and around 20 cm wide at the base - as featured in our ShopCurious blog. Marriage globes were popular keepsakes around the turn of the century. A bride's wedding coronet, flowers and other family momentos were artfully arranged under a glass dome. This one features a deep red cushion with twisted gilt metal, white and hand painted pink porcelain flowers and diamond shaped mirrors (symbolising fertility).  A tiny silk wedding crown and a corsage are placed around and on top of the cushion.
