Vintage Bakelite butterfly bag with Lucite handle

Extraordinary and unique boxy Bakelite butterfly bag - probably from the late 1950s. Measures 21 cm wide x 15 cm across (deep) at the base and stands 30 cm high, including the Lucite handle. Good vintage condition with beautiful butterfly motifs. There is one small crack to the varnish on the rear of the bag - but not really noticeable. The lining is slighty stained in one place - as shown. Good sized (so very usable) and highly desirable vintage accessory.
