Vintage hand painted Spanish cigar box

Magnificently hand painted vintage Spanish cigar box, measuring 29.5 x 16 x 4.5 cm. Label inside bears a crest reading, ‘JJ Fern’s finest Muscatels, Malaga.’ Also decorated with gold dotted paper around the edge of the box (not shown here). Good vintage condition, inside lining of box a little worn as shown.

Not just for the cigar aficionado, this beautiful and useful box is also a charming work of art, depicting a young woman being wooed by a guitarist – both are in traditional Spanish dress.
