One of a kind belt by StyleCurious featured designer, Thea Cadabra. This orange and blue double-headed calf-skin snake belt with hook fastening was made by Thea in 1984 and is inspired by the Medusa. Thea uses appliqué, underlay, punching and padding (for raised effects) in each of her unique, hand crafted creations, which are all lined with natural vegetable tanned calf leather. The moulded snake heads are by jewellery and sculptor James Rooke and the leather snakes are stuffed with kapok to give a curiously realistic effect. The belt measures 27.25” (69.5 cm) and is approximately 3.25” (8 cm) at the widest point, and 1.5” (3.5 cm) at its minimum width. The belt is in mint (unworn) vintage condition and comes gift wrapped in colour co-ordinated packaging, together with a signed certificate of authentication - including details of personal inspiration for the piece. The perfect accessory for Halloween, this belt would also make a very special heirloom gift.
