Twins peak?
The massive rise in IVF treatment can't be entirely to blame, because twins are popping up everywhere (see below). But might our double dip recession mark the apex of the twin trend currently consuming the worlds of fashion, design and the media?
Twin dressing, as in The Kooples, has become curiously fashionable:
Twin celebrities seem to have double the appeal - like The Olsen twins...
or the Nelson twins
Twin furniture is of the moment, like these twin tables...
twin chairs,
twin clocks,
and how about an ornamental designer Siamese twin deer?
Sightings of tiwn bicycles/tandems are on the increase:
Twins seem to be appearing naturally more often too, like these twin ducklings...
and twin Lantana
Vintage twins are all the rage too, like these 1920s paper doll twins:
and these antique flapper twins statuettes.
Retro style advertising features twins too. There are the ginger beer twins,
and the Iceberg lettuce twins
Then there are the oldest living twins,
the surreal twins...
and the wannabe twins.
