One of her iconic Faye dresses (named after Faye Dunaway), this elegantly arty, Orientalist inspired design showcases Thea Porter’s love of flowing lines and exotic textiles. A black silk devoré bodice is finished with burnt-gold-thread covered buttons and piping, whilst the silk chiffon skirt and sheer sleeves feature a bold floral motif in the golden shades and browns of dried roses, highlighted with gold lamé thread.
This 1970s vintage dress by Thea Porter Couture is fastened at the back with a zip and a hook and eye to the neck, with press-studs securing the unlined sleeves. The skirt is lined with black faux silk. There are a few catches in the gold lamé thread, especially on one shoulder and a pull to the skirt at the waistline as shown in the photographs, but otherwise the dress is in good vintage condition.
Size: This dress is 54” long and is marked a (UK) size 10, but would be perfect for a size XS/6-8.
