These curiously charming earrings tell a fascinating story. One of the Princesses of Kodagu in India, Gowramma, was taken in by Queen Victoria and the royal family of England. The Queen developed a natural liking to the smart young princess and became her Godmother. She was even endowed the name Victoria, making her Victoria Gouramma.
