Unique and unusual pale honey-coloured Persian lamb jacket with coral brown lining. Couture made by Georges Ouvrier in France, this piece has curiously characterful details, including a secret inner pocket, mink trimming inside the collar and cuffs, and kid leather lined outer pockets. Not to mention the beautiful lozenge shaped mother of pearl buttons.
Possibly dating from the late 1950s/early 1960s, the jacket is labelled Georges Ouvrier Fourrures, 35G rue Charles de Gaulle, Nogent sur Marne and is in very good condition. The frogging closures appear to be a later addition, perhaps to expand the size of the garment. The original hook closures are still in place, so the frogging could be removed if desired. The jacket is 26 inches/66 cm long, and would fit a UK size 10 as is, or a size 6-8 using the original closures.
