Floor sweeping, silk chiffon long evening gown with lace cowl neck and chevron inserts. Probably dating from around 1998-9, the flattering 1930s style, bias cut dress, comes with a gently frilled, sheer chiffon shawl (with arm holes) and diamanté logo detail (perfect for ladies wishing to conceal their upper arms).
This garment is beautifully made and features 28 silk covered buttons, plus a hook and eye fastening. The dress is also lined with silk (or possibly viscose mix fabric).
Size: We estimate this dress to be a French size 38 or UK size 10. The bias cut design means it would also fit a UK size 12 with a bust measurement of 36 inches or less. The measurement from the back neck of our UK size 8 mannequin to the floor is around 60 inches/152 cm, so this dress is very long.
Composition and Care: Whilst the boutique label is in tact, the composition and care labels have been removed. However, the dress is made from 100% silk chiffon and should be dry cleaned.
Condition: Very good vintage condition, the lace at the cowl neck appears to be slightly stretched, but this is not noticeable as it is worn folded over.
